Shehla has nothing to complain. While her husband Mushtaq goes for shopping, changes dirty diapers and scrubs toilets, she stays in bed untill 12:00 noon. Shehla is a singer and often performs in the evening to earn money for her family. Metropolis about free women and men under the thumb.

"If everyone bribes, then why should I feel guilty?" Wazir says after he asked a car driver without a licence to pay some rupees. With this money he can buy a cup of tea. Wazir is one of the many cops in Pakistan who has to bribe to supplement his low salary.
