What will you be doing ten years from now?
The situation in my country is so delicate that I even dont know what I might be doing tomorrow. But, anyhow, I will remain a voice for my voiceless people.
If you would be able to export a characteristic of your country, what would it be?
Bravery and hospitality. Bravery has always saved us, hospitality has sometimes given us headaches and troubles. With bravery we have defeated superpowers several times. With hospitality to some bad guys in the past, we are still in trouble.
What is your image of Holland?
For me there’s no need to picture it, I have been there. A flat, wet country, most of it lying below sea level, but dynamic, beautiful, man-made country. Wealthy, well-housed, well-clothed (not the women, they almost wear no clothes, haha), and well-fed. Flowers everywhere, but it always rains there, pity. Before going there I thought people would always wear wooden shoes, but I found out everyone rides bicycles now.
What is your favourite spot to be?
I like nature, and natural places. A flower garden such as Keukenhof in Holland is my favourite spot to be in. Maybe, my sense of loving nature comes from the fact that I was born and brought up in a wild country.
If you could change one thing about your country, what would it be?
War to peace.
Who would you support to be the next president of the United States?
If you asked the question this way, who would be the president of U.S in a decade? I would say someone whose name contains Yao, Long, Wong, Hu or Xing :). But the U.S which has had the worst President in its history, as Obama says really needs “CHANGE”.

In the week of World Animal Day, Metropolis looks at the life of dogs all around the world. This episode has been the object of much debate in the Metropolis editorial team: what can we show, and what can’t we show? We received many documentaries that were terrible to watch, but they did show the reality of other cultures. In the episode that was televised we have deleted the most gruesome images. But a warning is justified: some of the contributions to this show contain shocking images and are inappropriate for young viewers.
